The Reid Family Foundation (RFF) scholarship is offered in the memory of Jane and
Malcolm Reid who saw to it that both of their sons had the means and support to attend the college or university of their choice.
2026 Scholarship Application Form
ERHS General Award Application
Basis of the Award:
1. The applicant should be in the top half of the senior class. However, applicants
will be considered if they have shown promise and may require support to
continue their education even if not among those having the most excellent of
scholarship credentials.
2. Applicants who wish to continue their education at a community college and may
need or require support of someone who believes in their ability will be favorably
considered.
3. While proof of need must be considered, it is not the defining factor.
4. Each applicant must write a personal essay to the RFF Scholarship Committee
focusing on future goals and reasons for making the application. (one page)
5. Each applicant must submit the application, letters of recommendation, and personal essay to the school counselor by the school’s established deadline.
6. Application due February 20th, 2026
Specific Guidelines:
The following criteria have been adopted as the basis for selection:
1. RFF Application Form, including transcripts
2. Clear educational and career goals
3. Character, service, leadership
4. Personal Essay
5. Interview by the RFF Scholarship Committee
Evaluation Committee:
The RFF Scholarship Committee.
Presentation:
A member of the RFF Scholarship Committee or a host school person
shall make the presentation at the Senior Awards Assembly.
Disbursement of Funds:
A Reid Family Foundation check will be presented to the
recipient at the Awards Assembly.
