The Gates Scholarship

The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, full scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors. Starting in 2018, the scholarship will be awarded to 300 top student leaders each year with the intent of promoting their academic excellence through college graduation, and providing them the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Application Deadline: 09/15/2019

Award: Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance* that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Don't Text and Drive Scholarship

Do you know how far you will drive on the freeway if you take your eyes off the road for five seconds, the average time it takes to send a text? An entire football field. You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Complete the application form at the link above including a 140-character message about texting while driving. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists. The finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about texting while driving.

Courage to Grow Scholarship

(1) 500 dollar scholarship is awarded every month for juniors and seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Deadline date is the last day of every month. Student is required to write an essay in 250 words or less about why he or she should be awarded this scholarship.
