Cut-off time for checking out a student early is 3:00 pm - no exceptions.
Minimum day early release cut-off is 12:00 pm
**WE DO NOT ACCEPT OVER-THE-PHONE OR EMAIL REQUESTS TO ALLOW YOUR STUDENT TO BE RELEASED EARLY**
- To check your student out of school early - a parent/guardian or listed emergency contacts are the ONLY allowed persons that may sign out the student in the attendance office. Individuals MUST be present and have a photo ID Card or passport for verification as student safety is our utmost concern.
Please note: The name on the ID Card/Passport must match the name on your student’s profile that the parent/guardian has submitted to the school. Nicknames that you’ve registered will not be valid if it does not match the legal name on the ID and will cause a failure to release the student.
If you need to make changes to your emergency contacts you may do so by logging on to Parent Connect portal.
STUDENT DRIVER:
Student drivers must also follow early release procedures by being formally signed out by a parent/guardian or emergency contact at the attendance office. Failure to check out a student at the attendance office will be truancy for the classes missed.
*If you know before your upcoming appointment that your student will need to leave early and they are student drivers, you may come a few days before the appointment day to pre-schedule the sign-out in advance; to avoid any inconveniences.
SPORTS RELEASE / SCHOOL FUNCTION:
-If your student plays in a Roosevelt sport and has an away game, their coach will release the team by an email to all staff with a roster of those allowed students to exit campus at the time specified. Your student does NOT need to be signed out early.

-If your student is performing in an event, the lead teacher will send the staff an email with details of that event to have your student excused.
Allow up to 3 days for the office to update records.
If there is any discrepancy, please reach out to the advisor/coach to remind them they were not on the list.
