Eleanor Roosevelt High School recognizes and embraces the pivotal role of technology in today’s global society. Our school uses educational technology as one way of enhancing our mission in “...creating a dynamic, innovative learning environment...guiding students toward excellence in college and career readiness...and challenging them to be responsible citizens.” In an effort to help our students acquire the 21st Century skills needed in today's world, we ask our students to bring a personal laptop to school to use daily in the classroom. We call this program our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) digital learning model. To ensure student online safety, we collaborated with our district to implement a robust internet filtering system and digital citizenship curriculum.
The BYOD Network is now available for students. Students can now start bringing their own devices to school. Students will be limited to having a maximum of two devices enrolled for use in the BYOD program.
We understand some families do not have the means or inclination to bring a laptop daily, so we make accommodations to ensure each student has a device. To learn more about these accommodations, please call or visit the school.
In order for students to connect to our BYOD network at school, students’ devices must be enrolled in AirWatch / Workspace ONE / Intelligent Hub. Watch this video for more information about AirWatch.
