How to Obtain the State Seal of Biliteracy
What is the State Seal of Biliteracy?
- It is recognition by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction for graduating high school students who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in one or more languages in addition to English.
- Students will obtain a gold seal affixed to their diploma or transcript when they graduate.
- It is a FREE program for students, schools and districts available to public schools, direct funded charter schools and county offices.
¿Qué es el Sello Estatal de Biliteracidad?
- Es un reconocimiento hecho por el Superintendente Estatal de Enseñanza Pública para los estudiantes graduandos de la preparatoria quienes han obtenido un nivel avanzado de aptitud y dominio escritura, lectura y práctica oral en un idioma/lengua o más de un idioma/lengua aparte del inglés.
- Los estudiantes obtendrán un sello dorado fijado en su diploma o historial de calificaciones cuando se gradúe.
- Es un programa GRATIS para los estudiantes, las escuelas y los distritos escolares públicos y oficinas del condado.
